Isle of Eigg accepts secure credit card donations online

Hebridean community group use the Web to raise funds

The Isle of Eigg trust is using their Web site as part of their effort to raise £2 million to buy their island back after 26 years of ownership by landlords. Using The Bureau payment handling service, the Eigg Trust is encouraging supporters to donate securely online with their credit cards.

On their first day online they received an online donation of £500 from an American donor.

from around the world can donate money and help the islanders buy back their land.
