JustGiving is once again helping to get London Marathon runners started on their fundraising with some bonus donations.

From September to December 2026, one fundraiser every month will win a £2,000 bonus donation for their chosen charity.

To be in with a chance, runners need to have created a JustGiving fundraising page for next year’s London Marathon and to have secured at least one donation on their JustGiving page. One donation gets one entry.

JustGiving knows from years of data that helping runners get started earlier with their fundraising contributes to them raising more money overall.

Early fundraising helps fundraisers raise more money overall. And even though London Marathon activation month started on 1 September, there is still time to get your team started with this incentive.

How charities can help their London Marathon 2027 fundraisers?

Charities have already been telling runners who are supporting them about the giveaway. They have made it simple by publishing a message which they can copy and paste to runners.

The giveaway started on 1 September 2026.

£2,000 a month – for different tasks

JustGiving will give one £2,000 bonus donation every month until January.

After that, they will still give £2,000 each month, but to qualify a runner will have to have logged a fitness activity on their page. Fundraising is important, but the runners have to be able to run on the day!

And JustGiving has the data behind that too. They say that “London Marathon fundraisers who connect their fitness app to their page raise 37% more on average”.

There are of course terms and conditions to the giveaway.

And JustGiving has other advice for charities on how they can engage and inspire their fundraising runners.
