Instagram campaign to raise public awareness of charities’ work

Melanie May | 2 June 2016 | News

Charities are invited to take part in an Instagram campaign this month to help highlight their work.
#CharitySpotlightFortnight will run from 13-26th June and is asking charities to post a photo a day on their Instagram account related to the daily topic. Topics will range from what motivates the charity, to highlighting volunteers, and fundraisers’ work. The campaign is the idea of BluebirdPR, and will also be encouraging all Instagram users to tag their favourite charity to help get more people and charities involved.

Sarah Wallace, director of Bluebird PR, said:

“Small to medium sized charities do such vital work. I wanted to give them a platform for showcasing what makes them unique and why people should choose to support them. Instagram is such a great tool for charities as the old saying goes: a picture tells a thousand words.”

To get involved with the campaign charities are invited to follow @BluebirdPRUK.
