Ideas for making more of Giving Tuesday

Howard Lake | 15 October 2015 | News

Stuck for ideas to inspire your supporters in the run-up to Giving Tuesday on 1 December this year? Charities Aid Foundation, who, with Blackbaud Europe, are again leading the promotion of the UK’s #GivingTuesday campaign, have produced a series of fundraising tips.
They are adding to them, and inviting others to suggest their giving tips to add to the list. CAF invite you to share yours with the tags #givingtips and #GivingTuesday and they will add them.
GivingTuesday is a global day of giving. “After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to come together to show the world why it’s good to give. Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering your time or just spreading the word at the start of the Christmas shopping season, #GivingTuesday is a call to action for everyone who wants to give something back”.
Any charities, voluntary groups, businesses and individuals can take part. It’s almost an open source fundraising event, with very little restriction on what you can say or do, and it offers plenty of tools and resources to help use it to promote your cause and its need for support.
Here is the latest list of tips.
