Institute of Fundraising appoints Director of Business Development and Finance

Sarah Simpson has joined the Institute of Fundraising as Director of Business and Finance.

She joins from environmental charity Groundwork where she was Operations Director, delivering a range of projects in West Yorkshire.

Before that she helped revitalise London’s South Bank.

On her appointment she said: “It’s great to come back to London and especially south of the river.

“I spent ten years working on the physical regeneration of the South Bank with the South Bank Employers’ Group. It’s become a buzzing part of the capital – so it’s quite apt that the Institute of Fundraising are based here. It feels like ‘coming home’ and I’m looking forward to sharing some of the insights and learning I’ve gained across a range of other bodies.”

The Chartered Institute of Fundraising was originally named the Institute of Charity Fundraising Managers, before becoming the Institute of Fundraising, and then, in March 2020, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
