The Independent School Awards 2011
Outstanding Fundraising Initiative
The deadline for applying for this award is May 18.
Here is some brief info: what is required: this recognises an initiative in fundraising and development. Applicants are expected to show innovation in some way.
To apply, schools must make a supporting submission (500 words max) that details:
• Why this project?
• The project itself; and
• The results.
Each submission will be scored against ten hallmarks of excellence: measurement of effects on the school as a business, measurement of effects on pupils, leadership, planning, innovation, enterprise, sustainability, accountability, inclusion of stakeholders and people development. Applicants won’t be expected to fulfil all ten hallmarks.
Applicants can also send extra information (200 words max) plus photos (if relevant). Applicants may be asked to provide additional material by the judges.
Up to four schools will be shortlisted for the award.
Winners win an engraved trophy, logo saying they have won an award and two free tickets to the event on November 16 at the National Motorcycle Museum, near Birmingham Airport.
Winning this award is a powerful boost to marketing to new parents and demonstrates that the school is providing good value for money.
