New wedding list service supports charities working in Africa
Not-for-profit wedding list service Give It is adding a new service that will benefit charities working in Africa. The African Wedding List joins existing services that include The Alternative Wedding List and The Green Wedding List.
Andy Hickey of Give It said: “our themed services, such as our Scottish and London gift lists, continue to generate interest and we wanted to give couples even more reasons to say ‘yes’ to having a charity wedding list either on its own or, more commonly, alongside a traditional gift list.”
Give It say that when a guest selects a donation on any of the wedding lists, “the charity will get 100% of their spend”.

Dozens of charities such as Barnardo’s, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Save the Children and the World Land Trust have already benefited from appearing on couples’ gifts lists. In addition, donations to charities working overseas have always been popular on The Alternative Wedding List.
Charities that will start benefiting from The African Wedding List include Street Child Africa and AfriKids. They appear alongside charities that have been involved with Give It for some time, such as Save the Children, Sight Savers International, and War on Want.
