Radio and TV Appeals deadline

The deadline for applications for a BBC Radio or Television Appeal is fast approaching. All applications for broadcasts between September and December 2007 need to be in by 4th December this year. For guidelines and an application form see http://www.bbc.co.uk/charityappeals.
This is the chance to build a campaign around a broadcast with a potential reach of 1 million people. A recent appeal for Childhood Eye Cancer Trust raised over £12,000. Operations Manager Linden Smith said: “This was a very successful campaign which resulted in financial benefit as well as other offers of assistance. Furthermore we have received letters of support and encouragement from members of the public who had no previous knowledge of this cancer, confirming that it has also been successfully in raising awareness.”
