Free Charity Guide To Good Fundraising

Howard Lake | 16 November 2006 | Newswire

The Institute of Fundraising (‘Institute’) has launched The Good Fundraising Guide, an introduction to fundraising for charities and fundraisers. The Guide provides a clear and comprehensive overview of the fundraising process from planning activities and engaging volunteers and staff through to encouraging donors to give using a variety of fundraising techniques.
The Guide is aimed at new fundraisers and volunteers. Outlining the essential plans that need to be in place before you begin to raise money, the Guide moves on to look at specific techniques to raise funds from individuals, businesses, trusts and local communities in more detail. The Good Fundraising Guide also points readers in the direction of further advice, training and additional information.
Amanda Shepard, Head of Professional Development at the Institute of Fundraising, says:
This Guide is part of our joined up approach in meeting the needs of all fundraisers – including those at grassroots level, or new to the profession. The Good Fundraising Guide will provide inspiration and advice about how to make the most of your resources to run successful fundraising activities.”
