LocalCause seeks 140 charities to test its local charities portal

Howard Lake | 3 November 2009 | News

LocalCause, a new portal for the UK’s smaller charities and voluntary organisations, is looking for 10 organisations from 14 regions across the UK to help test their new site.

Applicants will be invited to create a web presence for their cause, adding “a reasonable quantity of content” and providing feedback on their user experience.

Those selected to take part in the testing process will receive three months free subscription once the site launches. LocalCause aims to offer smaller charities the chance to have a “feature rich, content-managed web presence” for £95 a year.

All the charities’ content is aggregated onto the LocalCause website, with the aim of providing a bigger platform for individual charities.
