Specsavers raise £150,000 for Diabetes UK

Howard Lake | 4 September 2007 | News

Specsavers has raised £150,000 for Diabetes UK by making a donation for every sight test carried out during Diabetes Week in June and organising various fundraising initiatives across stores.

Specsavers raised the money as part of its charity of the year commitment to Diabetes UK. A number of other events are planned in aid of Diabetes UK, including the Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition which has recently been promoted in a national advertising campaign. The contest is supported by Kimberley Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart. Specsavers are donating £1 for each entry received for its Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition.
