Flight Centre Schools Triathlon back for second year

The Flight Centre Schools Triathlon is back for 2017, with two more schools taking part this year.
Taking place over the course of a month, from 23rd April to 21st May, the Flight Centre Schools Triathlon is a series of four events for children aged 7-13. Children compete in teams of four at running, swimming and cycling, with the team’s overall time recorded, rather than individual times for each child. Each participant pledges to raise at least £50.
The Triathlon is backed by Restless Development, with the events managed by Human Race. money raised through the events will go to Restless Development and the chosen charities of the host and participating schools.
This year, the Triathlon events will take place at Royal Russell School, Croydon (23rd April), Bradfield College, Berkshire (7th May), Cranleigh School, Surrey (14th May), Marlborough College, Wiltshire (21st May).
Last year, two schools – Royal Russell School in Croydon and Bradfield College in Berkshire – took part in the first Flight Centre Schools Triathlon, raising £110,000 for Young Epilepsy; The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity; Teapot Trust; Team Margot; Joshua Orphan & Community Care; The Children’s Trust; The Matt Kendall Foundation. The aim is to raise £1 million by the Trianthlon’s fifth year.

As well as being lead sponsor of the Triathlons, Flight Centre is offering parents the chance to win a £1,000 Flight Centre travel voucher by registering their child for the Triathlon or signing up at an event. Children can also enter a ‘Best Team Photo’ competition for a chance to win a family pass to Harry Potter World for all four members.
