Sector-wide staff satisfaction survey launched

Howard Lake | 28 March 2007 | News

Birdsong Charity Consulting – run by human resources expert Frances Hurst – and Third Sector have launched a major new survey to look at staff satisfaction in the voluntary sector.

The survey, called Charity Pulse, will address why staff turnover in the sector is increasing and is consistently higher than either the private or public sectors. This is a new approach to the subject – asking people working in charities directly to provide their views on morale, work-life balance issues, the quality of people management and internal communications, their level of reward and so on.

The sector-wide findings report will be available free of charge to any charity whose staff have taken part in the survey, but individual charity data will remain strictly confidential.

Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw and the winner will walk away with four free coaching sessions and a year’s subscription to Third sector.
