Donorfy adds API to help visualise fundraising data
Cloud-based charity donor management system Donorfy has added a new data API which will help users to visualise their fundraising data using the latest data analysis tools.
The new Donorfy Data Service means that charities can use the OData protocol to make their data available, securely, to other analysis applications such as Tableau, Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
As a result fundraisers can view, report and visualise their data in dashboards and clear visual reports.

Integration
Donorfy was launched in 2015 by charity technology experts Robin Fisk and Ben Brett. It gives charities instant access to their database, campaign management and stewardship programmes, on desktop, tablet and smartphone, so that everyone can keep on top of what is happening in their charity.
It integrates with other popular cloud services such as Mailchimp, JustGiving, GoCardless, Stripe and Eventbrite. It also automatically collects Gift Aid on qualifying donations.
Donorfy giving widgets can be placed anywhere on the charity’s website, meaning all online donations are immediately visible in the CRM.
Pricing is a monthly subscription, based on the number of constituents in the database. The entry cost level fee is free. There is no limit to the number of users at the charity, so any number of staff can be given access to the system and data.
Donorfy Data Service
Donorfy‘s CEO Fisk explains how the Donorfy Data Service was developed. He said:
“Data visualisation tools like Tableau and Power BI have been getting stronger and more popular, and it made sense to make this integration available to our subscribers. While Donorfy is a lightweight, easy to use product, these heavyweight features show it’s a serious contender for organisations that want more from their fundraising software.”
The Data Service is one of several new features scheduled for release this month, including:
- updates to their file import system
- fundraising campaign dashboard
- constituent communications consents.
