Black & Lizars, Scotland’s largest independent opticians, has pledged to raise £17,500 for Fight for Sight over the next year.

The donation was one of four given to charities to mark Black and Lizars’ 175th anniversary year in which they hope to raise £70,000 for charities.

Black & Lizars practices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Belfast simultaneously released 175 specially designed anniversary balloons each to mark the start of the celebrations – each one containing a voucher for a prize.
