FPA launches 75th anniversary fundraising appeal
The Family Planning Association has announced the Launch of its biggest ever fundraising appeal, through which it hopes to raise £500,000 for Speakeasy.
Speakeasy is a community based education programme, giving parents and carers the information and skills to deliver sex and relationships education in the home. It also provides training packages for professionals working with parents and young people.
A number of fundraising events will take place and 5,000 leaflets will be distributed over the year to friends and supporters of fpa, as well as to professionals in the voluntary, health and corporate sector. The £500,000 will directly help: 12,000 parents and 1,000 professionals to deliver sex and relationships education and will benefit 25,000 children.
