A summer holiday partnership between Reading is Fundamental UK and the WHSmith Trust will allow 2,500 children from 42 volunteer-led schemes in 15 locations to choose and keep two free books and receive a reading-related goodie bag.

The children will also get to participate in a range of activities including storytelling, Teddy Bear picnics, treasure hunts and sports activities assisted by staff from WHSmith stores.

Sarah Durham from the WHSmith Trust said: “We are delighted to be working with RIF on the summer reading programme, which is so closely aligned to our aim to support education and lifelong learning.”
