Bmycharity launches 'affordable for all' online sponsorship service

Bmycharity is offering a new online sponsorship service that does not charge a monthly management fee.

The new service provides each charity with a dedicated Web site where their supporters can create personalised online sponsorship forms and invite friends, family and colleagues to make secure online credit and debit card donations.

Each site is branded for the individual charity, and can host an unlimited number of sponsorship pages.

Bmycharity says that it is “the first online sponsorship service to eliminate monthly fees while still offering the lowest commission rates in the UK”. As such, Bmycharity believes that it has brought online sponsorship “within reach of even the smallest fundraising budgets”.

Over the past three years Bmycharity has worked with leading online sponsorship charities such as Whizz-Kidz, Children with Leukaemia and Shelter. Managing Director Ben Brabyn says that its service “can reduce administration costs by up to 90% and increase Gift Aid reclaim rates by more than 350%”. The claims are based on figures from Diabetes UK and The Giving Campaign respectively.

The service charges no monthly fees. Instead it charges 5.85% commission on donations including all bank and card charges, and a setup fee.

Charities can login in to view reports on income received, and Bmycharity offers them both online and telephone support.

Ben Brabyn added: “This new service brings the ease and cost-effectiveness of online sponsorship fundraising within every professional fundraiser’s reach. And with Bmycharity Online Sponsor, we’re helping charities save time and money with a simple, secure and supporter-friendly service.”

As an introductory offer, the first 30 charities to sign up for the new service will also benefit from a discounted setup fee of only £150.
