Blackbaud’s bbcon returns as a free global conference
Blackbaud’s annual tech conference bbcon 2021 returns as a single, global conference available online. The event takes place from 13 to 15 October and is free to attend.
In previous years bbcon has taken place as in-person conferences on several continents. Last year of course it switched to a virtual event which presented separate streams for clients and sector staff in various countries, all from one event hub.
This year the “tech conference for a better world” will again be global, virtual and free to attend.

Laura Dern to give opening plenary
The opening plenary for bbcon 2021 Virtual will be presented by actor, producer and activist Laura Dern.
In addition to her film and television credits, Dern campaigns for women’s empowerment and gender equality, driven by her experiences in the industry.
She is also an activist working with Everytown for Gun Safety, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Oceana. She has been a partner and friend to the American Lung Association since 2015 and more recently as an advisor to its National Board of Directors, where she has helped initiatives that support communities affected by lung disease and raised money for research and education.
