IOF N Ireland Certificate in Fundraising details
The Institute of Fundraising in Northern Ireland has announced details of its Certificate of Fundraising course in Northern Ireland.
The face-to-face teaching element of the Certificate qualification will be delivered over two teaching blocks. The first block will be held on 6-7 November 2018 and the second block will be held on 13-14 March 2019.
On average the length of time needed to complete the Certificate is approximately nine months. During this time students need to dedicate 6-8 hours a week for reading and completing the work based written assessments.
The Certificate provides students foundation theoretical concepts and principles behind successful fundraising. It also examines the role of fundraising within the sector and the role it plays in society.
The Institute of Fundraising say the qualification is designed for practitioners responsible for the frontline implementation of fundraising activities. As a guide, they say, you should have a minimum of six months to three years fundraising experience either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
The Certificate will be delivered in four units:
- The Fundraising Environment
- Understanding Donor Behaviour
- Designing Donor Communication
- Fundamentals of Fundraising Planning
The course includes a series of assignments which need to be completed between December 2018 and June 2019.
The fee for course is £1,925 for IoF Individual members and £2075 for non-individual members.
