The Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need 24/25 - hold an umbrella over someone's head

Victim Support’s first digital fundraising campaign is all about 24

Victim Support, the independent charity for people affected by crime, has this month launched its first digital fundraising campaign. It is keeping it simple by encouraging people to fundraise in any way they want provided it relates to the number 24.
All funds raised will help ensure that their Supportline can operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, hence the choice of number. This is a free national helpline that supports those who have been impacted by crime whether or not it has been reported and regardless of when it happened.
The charity’s campaign follows the trend in virtual fundraising events, such as BHF’s MyMarathonBrake’s virtual run, and the Children with Cancer UK Mr Men and Little Miss Virtual Run enabling people to take part at a time and place that they choose.

Ideas for 24

Victim Support has a number of suggestions for fundraising around the number 24.
“You could stand on your head for 24 minutes, hold your breath for 24 second or eat 24 chillies. It can be weird, it can be whacky but it must be fun! ”
However you take part, they invite you to share their exploits, tag two friends on social media to nominate them to do their own 24-related event, and then text MY24 to donate £5.
The campaign began on 1 March.
