Howard Lake | 30 June 2014 | News

Organisers of Barclays Moontrekker, the 30 or 43 kilometre fundraising trek at night through the Lantau Island mountains on Hong Kong, have again selected JustGiving as its official fundraising partner.
Now in its sixth year, Barclays Moontrekker has 1,500 people taking part. All will be encouraged to use JustGiving’s online platform. This year the event will use JustGiving’s API to create a leaderboard to encourage competition amongst the participants.

William Sargent from Moontrekker said:

“Barclays MoonTrekker is the regions’ top overnight endurance trail race that takes part on Lantau Island. Last year we took fundraising for the event online for the first time and saw a record $753,000 raised for Room to Read. Thanks to JustGiving’s world-class platform this year we believe we’re on course to beat this total.”

This year the event takes place on 10 October.
