DSC's Social Change Awards 2012 open for nominations

Howard Lake | 26 July 2012 | News

The Directory of Social Change is inviting nominations for the 2012 Social Change Awards. These awards are designed to recognise those “working to achieve a positive change in society”, and they are open to individuals, charities, community groups, funders, companies, and public bodies.
You can nominate yourself/your own organisation or recommend others for nomination.

Categories

The categories are:
* Everyday Impact Award – New Enterprises
* Everyday Impact Award – Long-term Enterprises
* Influencer Award
* The Lifetime Achievement Award
* The Great Giving Funders Award
The latter is for funders that “demonstrate a clear understanding of their beneficiaries and funding environment”.
To be eligible, organisations and individuals must be based in the UK. Their work, however, can be international.

Judging

A judging panel will select three shortlist nominees for each category and then these will be published for the public to vote on in October.
