KPMG raises £1 million for Alzheimer's Society

Howard Lake | 6 September 2010 | News

KPMG has reached its fundraising target of £1 million for Alzheimer’s Society over one month ahead of schedule with further events still to be held.
KPMG staff voted in 2008 for Alzheimer’s Society to be the firm’s main charitable focus. Since then staff across the UK have been involved in a variety of activities to raise funds and raise awareness to help people with dementia, their families and carers.
John Griffith-Jones, Senior Partner of KPMG in the UK, said: “The highlight of the partnership came this summer, after a marathon nationwide bike ride in which KPMG staff clocked up more than 15,000 miles. 250 partners and staff, their families, plus alumni and clients took part in KPMG’s ‘Big Blue Bike Ride’ to raise more than £170,000 for Alzheimer’s Society”.
