Hope and Homes for Children appoints new Chair of Trustees
International children’s charity Hope and Homes for Children has appointed the Founder and CEO of Vue Entertainment, Tim Richards, as their new Chair of Trustees. Richards replaces Matt Bell, who served as the charity’s Chair for seven years.
Rick Foulsham CMG, Chief Executive of Hope and Homes for Children, said, “We are delighted that Tim has agreed to take over as our new chair of trustees. He will bring further important experience, perspective and leadership to our existing multi-disciplined group of trustees.”
Hope and Homes for Children gives hope to the poorest children in the world those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so that they can fulfil their potential.

Tim Richards, the newly appointed Chair of Trustees of Hope and Homes for Children, said, “Hope and Homes for Children is a superb charity which is transforming individual children’s lives while at the same time influencing national childcare systems across Central and Eastern Europe and Africa. I feel privileged to have been invited to take on this role and I intend to do all I can to support the organisation’s development over the coming years.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Tim was a Wall Street lawyer engaged in international finance and cross-border mergers and acquisitions while based in London and New York. Over the course of the last 19 years in cinema exhibition, Tim has developed extensive operational experience in over 14 major international markets and has an excellent understanding of the countries and cultures in which some of Hope and Homes for Children’s projects operate.
Both Vue Entertainment and Tim himself have received numerous awards and accolades. Tim is Vice Chairperson of Skillset, a Board Director of Film London, a Council Member of the British Academy of Film & Television Arts and a Council Member and Executive Director of the British Screen Advisory Council. Married for 20 years and with three children, Tim’s interests are his family, films, reading and sports. A former international ski racer, Tim is still an avid skier, windsurfer, runner, cyclist and tennis player.
