Giles Pegram, NSPCC director of fundraising, said: “During Tim’s many years with us he has been integral to major developments in our fundraising – including his involvement in the successful FULL STOP Appeal, integrating ChildLine’s fundraising into the NSPCC and most recently the launch of our Child’s Voice Appeal.
“The huge energy, focus and commitment Tim has brought to the NSPCC’s fundraising will be greatly missed, but we are excited for him at this tremendous opportunity to make a mark on the world stage.”
Tim Hunter has operational responsibility for all areas of the NSPCC’s fundraising, which raised £147 million in the financial year 2007-8.
Hunter was previously responsible for the Society’s direct marketing, which has developed a database of over a million active supporters. Before joining the NSPCC in 1998, Tim was Head of Marketing at Shelter and an Account Director at telemarketing agency, Pell & Bales.
Hunter will be replaced on an interim basis pending permanent arrangements.
