The Down’s Syndrome Association has received more than £245,000 from GlaxoSmithKline.

The funds are to promote the Shifting Perspectives photography exhibition worldwide over the three years from 2010 to 2013, and to start an annual international photography competition for people with Down’s syndrome.

The competition will be open for submissions from autumn 2009 and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in London in June 2010.
