Entries for Third Sector Excellence Awards close this week

Entries for the 2009 Third Sector Excellence Awards close on Friday.

The awards are open to all voluntary organisations based in the UK, including registered charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises and campaigning groups.

You can enter as many categories as you like, and you can enter a project in more than one category.

Charities and not-for-profit organisations can enter at no charge. Agencies and commercial organisations have to pay £50 plus VAT.

The judges will be looking for “examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success.”

Categories include communications, marketing and campaigning; fundraising; governance and foundations; and finance and enterprise.

Awards include direct marketing campaign, fundraising event, website, use of digital media, fundraising team, charity partnership, and donor care.

There are three other awards from Third Sector magazine:

* The Luke FitzHerbert lifetime achievement award

* Small charity, big achiever

* The Third Sector big impact award

The closing date for entries is 5 June 2009.
