A new bi-monthly magazine has been launched to give advice and tips to groups that fundraise for different charities.

Raise is distributed to more than 18,000 community groups in the UK, including women’s groups, retired staff associations, social clubs and church groups. It also has an interactive website where users can browse a directory of charities, keep up with news and share ideas in the forum.

Managing director of publisher Fundraising Media Ltd, Richard King, said his company had worked with various groups for many years and had set the magazine up in response to requests for information from group secretaries and others.

Charities can advertise their causes within the magazine which carries a response card, giving each charity an individual identity number. If people tick a charity’s number and return the card, the charity will be notified that that person or group requires further information on fundraising, volunteering or legacies information.

The next issue of the magazine will be published at the beginning of July.
