Third birthday campaign launched for Bono

Fans of U2’s frontman Bono have launched their third annual fundraising campaign to celebrate his 10th May birthday.
The African Well Fund on the issue of clean water access within the African continent, inspired by Bono’s political activism on this issue.
The Fund will be appealing for funds from 27 March to 1 May. Fans who donate are invited to leave an online birthday message for Bono which will be presented to him on his birthday.

Donations from the two previous campaigns have totalled over $25,000 and have been used by the NGO Africare to fund well projects throughout Uganda.
