Payroll giving grants now available

The Home Office’s new grant making programme to encourage small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to set up Payroll Giving schemes is now live. The Payroll Giving Grants programme is a Home Office-funded initiative, administered and promoted by the Institute of Fundraising, in partnership with Business in the Community.

Any employer, business or charity alike, is eligible for a £500 grant to set up Payroll Giving Schemes so long as the organisation has fewer than 500 employees. In addition the first £10 of each employee’s monthly donations will be matched by the Government for a period of six months.

The aim of this UK-wide programme is to provide sustainable income sources for charities by increasing the number of employers and employees engaged in Payroll Giving.
