WWF to earn income from new Smile bank accounts

Smile, the online banking service of The Co-operative Bank, has partnered with conservation charity WWF-UK to donate £50 for every new current account opened.

The affinity deal lasts until 31 December 2004 and a donation will be made to WWF-UK as soon as each new account holder makes a credit transaction on their account.

The bank is also incentivising the offer with a free prize draw to win a 10-night trip to the largest orang utan sanctuary in Borneo to view this endangered creature.
