WildlifeWins, the online lottery to raise funds for conservation projects, has closed.
The South African lottery site launched in the UK in April 2002. It claimed that it would be offering “a £14 million weekly online lottery.”
In the end, it raised “thousands of dollars” for work to help the survival of four endangered species.

The company alerted its members and subscribers to the development and thanked them for their support.
Members’ account details and outstanding balances have been transferred to PLUS Lotto which raises funds for the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Plus Lotto “offers many of the same games as WildlifeWins such as the weekly lotto draw, instant scratch cards, Pick!t and Keno.”
Both WildlifeWins and PLUS Lotto are operated by The International Lottery in Liechtenstein Foundation.
