Clifford The Big Red Dog supports Reading is Fundamental, UK

Reading Is Fundamental, UK, an initiative of the National Literacy Trust, is partnering with The Big Badge Company to produce Clifford The Big Red Dog badges available in all branches of Halifax Bank of Scotland in August 2003.
The animated television series, produced by Scholastic Entertainment Inc., has been delighting children since it launched on CBeebies last year and is now in its second series.
The badges will be produced in three designs to collect. Of the suggested donation of £1.00 each, 70p will go directly to RIF, UK to support the promotion of children’s literacy.

RIF, UK provides new books for free to children encouraging them to read and realise their potential through reading.
It is anticipated that the badges, initially available in branches of Halifax/Bank of Scotland in August and Borders stores from October will raise £38,000.
