Howard Lake | 29 September 2003 | News

In Kind Direct, the charity that coordinates UK-wide in kind giving, has reported that £5.3 million worth of goods reached UK voluntary organisations, a 26% increase on the previous year.

In its Annual Report In Kind Direct summarises a successful year, and predicts that it will distribute goods worth £6 million in 2003.

New donor companies in 2002 included Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Procter and Gamble, and Colgate-Palmolive. Repeat donors included Early Learning Centre, 3M, Playtex and Disney Store. However, while many large companies use the charity, relatively few small and medium sized companies have become donors.
