Thanks to Paul Atherton (Charity Commission appointed) for drawing my attention to the unveiling of the first ever Charities Commission in Northern Ireland, by Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie MLA.

Gosh, but don’t these things take a while? Still, some time (soon, plesae?) there will be a register of all charities operating in Northern Ireland. Given the difference between the Charity Commission register (for England and Wales) and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator register (for Scotland), it will be interesting to see how the register of charities operating in Northern Ireland turns out.
