BHF Shops win Most Profitable Charity Retail Operation award

British Heart Foundation (BHF) Shops have won the ‘Most Profitable Charity Retail Operation’ award at the recent Charity Retail Association awards.
BHF Shops have achieved a rise in profits during 2011 to 2012 of £5 million to £31 million.
BHF Deputy Retail Director, Diane Locke, said: “The economic climate has seen our sales grow – giving us the confidence to further extend our nationwide network of BHF Shops and Furniture & Electrical Stores.”
BHF Shops sell 90,000 items everyday and are run with the help of over 20,000 volunteers. There are now over 700 shops, and over 140 Furniture and Electrical Stores across England, Scotland and Wales.
