St Giles Hospice's shops pass £10m mark

Howard Lake | 30 July 2012 | News

St Giles Hospice’s network of shops has raised over £10 million after 27 years of supporting the charity’s work in and around Lichfield.
The hospice’s first shop opened in 1985 in Lichfield. Since then a network of 21 shops has been established across the region.
Thanking volunteers, shoppers and donors, Lynwen Truesdale, Head of Retail for St Giles Hospice, said: “Every St Giles Hospice shop is run by a dedicated Shop Manager who is supported by a friendly and attentive team of volunteers who are happy to help our loyal, returning customers while tending to the needs of our first-time visitors.”
The network includes furniture shops, specialist bookshops, and one shop which sells wedding and bridesmaids’ dresses, together with mother of the bride outfits.
