Anthony Nolan Trust launches UK's first charity 3D website
Leukaemia charity The Anthony Nolan Trust this week unveils what it believes will be the UK’s first interactive charity 3D website. The charity hopes the site will help it in its efforts to find matches for leukaemia patients who need a lifesaving transplant.
The development attempts to capitalise on the popularity of 3D films like ‘Avatar’ and the introduction of 3D-TV. Chief executive Lila Froop said that the site would capitalise on the popularity of 3D films like ‘Avatar’ and the introduction of 3D-TV, and break new ground in the battle for public awareness. “We felt it was time to try something totally new to help us reach a younger and more technologically savvy audience,” she explained. “We hope that this new site will be really exciting and fun, and will ultimately help us raise awareness among a much wider audience”.
