Broadcaster and health campaigner, Anne Diamond, has joined TOAST, The Obesity Awareness and Solutions Trust, as its patron. She joins the charity in the run-up to a major new campaign on obesity.

Anne Diamond, who has been working with the charity for several months, said: “From my own personal experience I know that the reasons for overeating are complex and there isn’t just one solution for treating or preventing it. TOAST not only campaigns for better awareness and understanding of the problem but also seeks to challenge attitudes to the condition.”

Diamond is well known for her Back to Sleep campaign in the 1990’s which lobbied government and health institutions, resulting in a nationwide fund for research and a significant reduction in the number of cot deaths in the UK.
