Macmillan has launched its fully-integrated marketing campaign to enlist support for this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Classic FM will again promote the Coffee Morning, which is due to take place on Friday 29 September. One lucky listener will also win the chance to have New Zealand diva Hayley Westernra sing at their event.

Online activity this year includes a game (www.makemecofee.com), which is linked to the event microsite and where participants can play to win a round of coffee in their office. Online advertising includes banners, skyscrapers and sponsored editorial on MSN, Yahoo, Radio Times, ivillage, 50connect and Livingit! among others.

There is also a dual-branded mailer going to the Co-operative Group’s most loyal customers to encourage registration for the Coffee Morning. Gaggia is also supporting the event with activities in Gaggia concessions in the lead-up to the day, in-store promotions with retail partners, regional radio competitions, an auction of a limited edition green coffee machine and a series of fundraising initiatives at the London Restaurant Show.

Last year almost two million people took part, raising a total of £6.5m, and the event won the ‘best use of events’ category at the Institute of Fundraising and Professional Fundraising awards.
