Magic FM chooses GOSH as charity of the year

Magic FM has announced that Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity as its chosen charity for 2006.

Funds will be raised to improve the cancer facilities at the hospital through a number of on air and online initiatives. Magic will also donate five percent of all profits from its phone and text competitions.

Great Ormond Street is the largest centre for children with cancer and bone marrow transplants in the UK, treating all children with cancer under the age of 12 in London, and one in 10 in Britain. The cancer unit is one of the most urgent priorities in the hospital’s £300 million redevelopment project.
