Charity Bar flapjacks to raise funds for service charity

Howard Lake | 13 February 2014 | News

Hampshire-based armed forces charity Pilgrim Bandits is launching its own range of Charity Bar flapjacks to raise funds.
The Charity Bar comes in three flavours – original, bakewell and fudge. They are being sold in boxes of 25 bars, and mixed boxes are available. The suggested retail price is from £1 for a large 110g bar.
The products are the work of one of the charity’s trustees, a full time Police Sergeant.
“I wanted to create a product”, said Sergeant Isherwoord, @that would deliver a return for the charity for years to come.  Our hope is to sell them through our area fundraisers but also to break into the grocery and hospitality trades.”
Pilgrim Bandits challenges amputees from all the Armed Forces to take part in arduous expeditions and then to share their experiences with underprivileged children and young people. Patrons include Duncan Bannatyne OBE and Ben Parkinson MBE.
