Howard Lake | 25 November 2005 | News

Development agency World Vision reached a milestone moment this month with the sponsor of their 100,000th child, by Manchester-based mother of two, Julie Butterworth. Mrs Butterworth has signed up to sponsor five-year-old Aissatou Sall from the farming village of Sam Diabel in Senegal.

More than 90 children from the village are sponsored through World Vision, who have already helped to provide Aissatou’s village with a clean water supply, seeds for farming and
equipment for the local primary school.
