Filemaker Donations 2.0

Database company FileMaker UK is about to release version 2.0 of FileMaker Donations, its product customised for charities and voluntary organisations.

FileMaker Donations 2.0 is designed to help such non-profit groups to plan, track and streamline their fundraising campaigns, donations and donor outreach efforts, and is available both for PC and Mac.

First launched in 2003, the new version builds on developments in FileMaker Pro 7, launched earlier this year. New capabilities include a user-controlled multi-window environment, built-in security with predefined privilege sets, improved reporting capabilities, and a summary on the home page of outstanding actions such as contacts to be made. The software also includes improved data import from Microsoft Outlook and Apple Address Book.

There is no Gift Aid facility built in to the package, but it is possible, say its producers, for users to modify FileMaker itself to include this.

Owners of FileMaker Donations 1.0 can upgrade to Donations 2.0 at no charge. For first time buyers, FileMaker Donations 2.0 costs £79.95 (or £84.95 if you want it on CD) excluding VAT. It will available for purchase from 30 November 2004 through FileMaker UK’s Web Store.

FileMaker Donations 2.0 requires FileMaker Pro 7v3 and runs on Mac OS X and Windows XP.
