Office Depot in $2.2m partnership with conservation organisations

Global paper reseller Office Depot has entered into a five-year, $2.2 milion partnership with three leading science-driven conservation organisations to advance the company’s forest and biodiversity conservation policies.

Office Depot is collaborating with NatureServe, Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy to form the Forest & Biodiversity Conservation Alliance, a cooperative working framework aimed at improving environmental decision making in paper procurement and the supply chain.

The Nature Conservancy told UK Fundraising that this partnership moved beyond traditional corporate philanthropy to a model which met business needs that also served NGO mission objectives.
