New fundraising service for small organisations to launch
A new service from C.I.F. Consultancy will launch in January 2003 aimed at helping organisations that cannot afford to employ fundraising staff.
Volcog, the Voluntary and Community Groups Consultancy, will be launched on 16 January 2003 to help small organisations on all aspects of funding and fundraising. It will also offer advice on charity law, procedures, and charitable status/registration.
Volcog will operate on a membership basis, with members paying £100 per year for up to a maximum of four hours of consultancy advice per annum. Advice is available via telephone, fax or e-mail, or in person.

Membership benefits also include a bi-monthly newsletter, and hands-on help and training at discounted rates. Colin Freeman of C.I.F. Consultancy says that he is also currently negotiating with other providers and suppliers to offer members discounts on a wide range of services and products.
Organisations joining now can benefit from the e-mail/telephone/faxback service at no charge until the scheme starts on 16 January.
