Centrepoint to benefit from Celebrity Big Brother

Howard Lake | 18 November 2002 | News

Centrepoint, the national charity for homeless young people, is one of the four charities benefiting from this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, which starts on Wednesday 20 November 2002 on Channel 4.

Which celebrities are taking part remains a closely guarded secret, although newspapers speculate that actor and musician Goldie will be one of them. None will receive a fee for their involvement.

All net profits from the ‘phone lines to be used in voting housemates out of the house will go direct to four charities all associated with the theme of young people in crisis: Centrepoint, National Missing Person’s Helpline, Samaritans and Rethink severe mental illness.
