Sustainability accelerator seeks ideas to fund

The Chatham House Sustainability Accelerator is looking for ideas that accelerate solutions for a fair and sustainable future, both for the environment and for people.
The Sustainability Accelerator Microgrants will provide £1,000 grants for ideas to solve sustainability challenges, with the microgrant idea developed with the Chatham House Sustainability Accelerator’s associate fellow Benjamin Yeoh. Yeoh runs his own microgrant project that includes providing funding for people looking to make a positive impact.
Ideas could be a digital tool, a physical product, an event, a campaign or a new technology. Applicants need to demonstrate how it could help to solve an existing sustainability issue, and accelerate progress towards sustainability targets.

The £1,000 grants are available from a £20,000 microgrant fund, with a deadline of 30 April for applying.
Submissions will be considered by an internal selection panel consisting of Chatham House staff and associate fellows. According to Chatham House, this is an experimental funding scheme, and it welcomes any questions and suggestions about eligibility and feedback on any aspect of the initiative.
More sustainability-related funding
Applications are also currently open for The Wolfson Foundation’s Sustainability Fund, which supports organisations to improve the environmental and financial sustainability of their buildings. Grants of up to £50,000 are available for refurbishment, maintenance works and equipment that have environmental benefits, with a deadline of 25 April.
