Jingle Jam is looking for between eight and 12 charities for this year’s event, and charities have until 11 March to submit their expressions of interest.

There are four main areas of focus for this year:

Jingle Jam is recognised as the world’s biggest charity gaming event with its livestreams regularly reaching 250,000 unique users over the month of December with more than 60,000 live concurrently at its peak. Last year’s Jingle Jam raised over £3.3m for charities including The Grand Appeal, Mental Health Foundation, and Whale & Dolphin Conservation. In 2020, it raised a million in its first two days, and overall, the annual event has raised £18.5m ($25m) for good causes in the past ten years.

Only registered charities are funded, and Jingle Jam is also specifying that they must work in one of the four focus areas, be able to tell their story in ways that resonate with children and young adults, and while they don’t have to be involved directly with videogames Jingle Jam will be looking for how they can align with the games industry and gamers.

The expression of interest form is available on its site. If invited to the next stage there will be an application form to fill in, which will be assessed by a panel. Jingle Jam expects to let charities know if they’ve been successful by the end of May.
